The final starts on Monday, What's up (Next) doc?

Well, I have decided to have another cage match. But like most of these reality shows we here at badanswer are resorting to "B-list" science to throw in the cage. We are currently recruiting false or superseded theories to put in the cage. The winner will get a second chance to be widely accepted by being immortalized by me personally in a blog post. A partial list of contestants is as follows:
Geocentric Universe
Lamarckism
Classical Elements
Flat Earth and
Spontaneous Generation

If you would like to nominate something for the next event please leave your recommendation in the comments so we may all ridicule you; unless you leave an anonymous comment, chicken.

Cold Fusion

beanholio, I too have thought of cold fusion, and although it is a 'B' list science at the moment it has not been explicitly found to be false or been superseded. Specific experiments have been found to have, lets say "anomolies;" but the base theory still stands.

The possibility of letting some pseudoscience get in the ring is a possibility, contestants would include cereology, astrology, Phrenology, and others. Cold fusion could be a contender, although I would give the nod to perpetual motion if they met head to head.

Please keep any suggestions coming.

As for superseded I would recommend any of the pre-Bohr models of the atom. Bohr had been superseded also, but (as the classic text "Science Made Stupid" so brilliantly points out) it makes for really nifty logos.

Astrology and Phrenology also get votes from me as representatives of the pseudoscience field.

For further inspiration (or possibly even another competition altogether) I would suggest googling "Bad Movie Science" and also include "cartoon physics" and it's subset "anime physics".

Perhaps Star Wars physics then too, Kit? I mean, sound in space...

Some that come to mind: homunculus concept (little doods in spermies that grow into babies, etc.), humorism (yellow bile, black bile, phlegm, and blood = 4 seasons).

I'll add more if I can think of more...
